The Blog
thecoderover is a blog about programming, computing, gaming, and the internet from a programmer’s perspective. Sometimes, I will discuss small personal projects. The inspiration for these follies may be areas of interest or from projects I have worked on previously. Occasionally, I also write about topics or events that pique my interest. I post when time allows and follow no particular schedule.
Personal
I live in the lovely seaside city of Busan in South Korea. With its extensive coastal walks and mountain paths, many opportunities exist to enjoy long hikes. Professionally, I have programmed in some form for the best part of 40 years. In that time, I have had the chance to try my hand at many different things and consider myself a bit of a generalist – someone able to do whatever is needed. Likewise, my interests tend to cover the entire scope of software development and computing in general. Early in my career, I tended to work in the front end in application development, including some work in graphics. Later, I shifted towards the back end, writing bespoke servers. Most of my experience has been using C, C++, and lately JavaScript. Currently, I am working on my first game as an indie developer.
